Member of Technical Staff, Agent Experience

We need someone to own how our AI agents communicate, behave, and build trust with users. The ideal candidate combines UX research expertise with behavioral science, has experience evaluating conversational AI beyond simple accuracy metrics, and understands how voice and style shape user perception.

What You’ll Do

• Design voice and style guidelines for expert agents that maintain authenticity and consistency
• Build evaluation frameworks that measure trust, agency, and user satisfaction beyond accuracy
• Run behavioral experiments to understand how users perceive and interact with different agent personalities
• Create testing protocols for agent responses across edge cases (confusion, vulnerability, disagreement)
• Develop metrics to track whether agents enhance or diminish user autonomy
• Collaborate with engineering to implement persona consistency across all agent interactions

What We’re Looking For

• Background in UX research, conversation design, or behavioral science applied to AI systems
• Experience evaluating chatbots, voice assistants, or conversational AI products
• Understanding of trust formation, cognitive biases, and user perception in human-AI interaction
• Strong experimental design and qualitative research skills
• Track record of translating research insights into actionable product improvements
• Ability to bridge technical AI capabilities with human-centered design principles

• Agent interactions consistently reflect expert voice and build user trust
• Evaluation frameworks catch quality issues before they reach users
• User feedback shows agents feel authentic and respectful of user agency
• Clear differentiation in personality across different expert agents
• Research insights directly improve agent behavior and user satisfaction

This role reports to the CTO and will define how Personal Intelligence™ agents communicate.
