Member of Technical Staff, Backend

We need someone to build the AI orchestration engine and edge infrastructure that powers our platform. The ideal candidate comes from companies building AI-powered products at scale and has experience with edge computing, privacy-first architectures, and sophisticated data processing pipelines that keep user data secure.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain AI orchestration systems with intelligent routing and failover capabilities
• Develop edge computing solutions for the fastest possible global response times
• Design and implement vector and graph-based data pipelines for semantic search and knowledge extraction
• Build secure document processing systems with end-to-end encryption and client-side processing
• Create streaming AI response systems that deliver results as they’re generated
• Optimize database queries and implement sophisticated caching strategies across edge locations

What We’re Looking For

• Background building backend systems for AI-powered applications or high-scale consumer products
• Deep experience with edge computing, distributed systems, and privacy-first architecture
• Expertise with vector databases, embeddings, and large-scale data processing pipelines
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including pgvector, query optimization, and security policies
• Experience integrating AI providers while maintaining user privacy and data sovereignty
• Understanding of end-to-end encryption, client-side processing, and secure data handling practices

This role reports to the CTO and will define the foundation of our technical platform.
