Member of Technical Staff, Mobile

We need someone who has shipped polished mobile apps to millions of users and refuses to accept anything less than incredible user experiences. The ideal candidate comes from consumer social platforms or chat applications where mobile performance and user engagement are absolutely critical, and where every interaction matters.

What You’ll Do

• Own the entire React Native mobile experience from architecture to App Store deployment
• Build high-performance feed experiences with smooth scrolling and instant interactions
• Create sophisticated chat interfaces with real-time messaging and seamless conversation flows
• Optimize for demanding performance requirements and ensure flawless user interactions
• Implement essential mobile patterns: pull-to-refresh, gesture handling, background state management
• Drive technical decisions around mobile architecture, bundle optimization, and developer experience

What We’re Looking For

• Background from high-scale consumer apps where performance directly impacts user engagement and retention
• Deep mobile expertise with a track record of shipping features that users interact with hundreds of times per day
• Expert-level React Native skills with modern tooling, TypeScript proficiency, and performance optimization
• Experience with complex mobile challenges: infinite feeds, real-time messaging, memory management, offline functionality
• Strong opinions about mobile UX and the craftsmanship to execute them flawlessly
• Obsessive attention to details and unwillingness to compromise on user experience quality

This role reports to the CTO and will set the standard for mobile excellence across the entire platform.
